They take over the hosts body and fill their veins with oil. Cause them to act as some kind of hive mind collective that wishes to attack and propagate itself. They explode. The entire Otad Base was wiped out by the activations. The first thing when ayla and nivaya entered, inserted a large number of credit material into her and left her out to lure us in. any healing we apply goes to the parasite machine and not her.
